In addition to the recent supply agreements reached with both JLG and Haulotte, General de Alquiler de Maquinaria announces today the delivery of 175 machines within the framework of the contract signed with JCB one year ago for the next four years.
These 175 units will be delivered during the first quarter of 2007, as per GAM business needs.
This incorporation of equipment reflects the effort that is being done by General de Alquiler de Maquinaria in the development of the strategic alliances policy. These alliances have been designed aiming at obtaining the support of the biggest international equipment manufacturers to GAM´s growth and its ambitious expansion plan.
JCB has wide range of products from telehandling equipment to miniloaders and excavators, both wheel and crane type. It employs 5.000 people around the world and fabricates more than 180 different equipment types in the four continents. JCB Central offices are considered one of the best engineer sites in Europe
GAM reported a turnover of 134 MM€ at the end of the third quarter, 2006 and considering its business volume but also its number of units of machinery and depots, unquestionably plays the lead role in the Spanish equipment rental market.
With this new equipment, GAM will keep the development of its business in the aerial platform sector where it already has a consolidated position in Spain. At the same time it will enable the Company to keep its strong support to the diversification process initiated in 2006 providing services to new markets as GAM Vías, GAM Puertos, GAM Energía, GAM Eventos, GAM Verde y GAM Estructuras. These Divisions contribute not only to the Company growth but reinforces its leadership position in the Spanish market. |
